The Truckee-Donner Recreation and Park District is a special district of Nevada County in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. The TDRPD has been providing recreation and park services for all members of the community since 1963 with a program participation rate of 75% among Truckee’s 17,000 residents.
The mission at Truckee Donner Recreation and Park District (TDRPD) is to inspire creative, active lives for a healthy mountain community.
TDRPD is a special district of Nevada County, located in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, west of the Nevada state line. The area is the Gateway to the North Lake Tahoe resort areas of
Olympic Valley, Tahoe City, Kings Beach and Incline Village.
Many major ski resorts are minutes away, including Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Boreal Ridge, and Northstar at Tahoe. Donner Lake and Donner State Memorial Park lie within the recreation district’s boundaries. There are also several large reservoirs and Forest Service campgrounds in the immediate area. It is a beautiful and vast area to recreate!
TDRPD offers a full schedule of sports and programs for youth and adults year-round at several facilities, including Truckee’s Community Art Center, Community Pool, Community Recreation Center, the Ponderosa Golf Course, and the Veteran’s Building.
