The Library isn’t Just About Books Anymore

When many people hear the word library they think of books. The many libraries in the Truckee Donner area are having events to get more people interested in what other things they offer. Many of the libraries have art gallery areas where artists can submit their work and show the world. These events at libraries around the area are to make people aware of these amazing sections. Below is a list of different libraries and what events they are offering. Featured Image Library Outreach Activity

Incline Village 

Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m. are baby storytime. You can register at event.washoecountylibrary.us

Tuesdays at 4 p.m. are Teen Tuesdays. Fun activities and snacks! March 22nd is the Manga book club. You can register at events.washoecountylibrary.us

Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. is toddler time. Best for ages 18 months to 3 years. You can register at event.washoecountylibrary.us

Kings Beach and Tahoe City Library

Every Tuesday from 10:30 am to 11 am is Preschool Storytime. Books, songs, rhymes, and so much more.

Wednesday, April 6th from 2 to 3:30 p.m. is the Novel Ideas Book Group

Free Computer use and Wi-Fi is available at this library for everyone!

Truckee Library/ Nevada County

Wednesday from 4 to 5 p.m. is RUFF reading. Therapy animals and crafts while reading.

Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. is Preschool Storytime

March 22nd from 5 to 6 p.m. is circle olive oil tasting. Learn the exotic tastes from the Mediterranean in your own town at the local library.

March 24th from 6 to 7 p.m. is the Bilingual information session. Here adults can get help navigating college applications or other big life decisions.

March 25th from 6:30 to 8 p.m. is the Author’s talk. New York Times bestselling author, Madeline Miller will be at the library to answer any questions you have and sign autographs.
