For the past 30 years, the Town of Truckee has been a vibrant and inviting community, growing and evolving alongside its residents. From its humble beginnings as a small mountain town to its current status as a bustling and diverse destination, Truckee has come a long way in the last three decades. To celebrate this milestone anniversary, the Town of Truckee and the Truckee Chamber presented a program of past, present, and future during the recent Good Morning Truckee session.
The Celebration
The presentation gave viewers an exciting journey through Truckee‘s past, present, and future, guided by both current and former town leaders. From its incorporation to its early years and its current development, the presentation showed how far the Town of Truckee has come in the last 30 years and what exciting changes are yet to come.
Participants heard tales and observations from the first mayor of Truckee, Kathleen Eagan, the current mayor of the Town of Truckee, Lindsay Romack, and former Truckee Council Member and Nevada County Supervisor, Ted Owens.
